Since 1998, Dr. Rafoth has applied his post-doctorate training to treat patients who need oral surgery. Missing teeth and loose dentures make too many people sit on the sidelines and let life pass them by. However, today's modern treatment plans can replace everything from a single missing tooth to a completely missing arch. Implants are the standard of care for tooth replacement, and we have been proud to offer our patients that service since 2000. Dr. Rafoth was awarded a Fellowship degree for advanced implant surgery from the American Dental Implant Association in May 2010.

Implants have advantages over fixed bridgework since fixed bridges often affect adjacent healthy teeth. Implants are a conservative choice, because they can prevent the need to involve those adjacent teeth. Also, implants do not suffer tooth decay. Implants also offer benefits for removable dentures. Dentures that slip, drop, click, or loosen can be secured with implant anchors. Even failing natural teeth may be immediately replaced with implants to avoid smile problems.

Implant costs will vary, depending on the challenges each patient faces. When compared to traditional restorations with fixed bridgework or removable dentures, the costs for implant restorations can be cheaper in the long run, because of their conservative nature and increased lifespan.
