Restorative Dentistry, Crowns & Bridges, Stanwood, WA

Cascadia Dentistry has embraced new digital technology that is vastly improving the patient experience for millions of people who undergo common procedures for restorative dental care. Called iTeroTM, it completely eliminates the need for physical impressions.

The iTeroTM device enables our office to create a digitally exact replica of the area in your mouth by scanning with a handheld wand. Unlike a physical impression that must set in your mouth for at least three to five minutes, the iTeroTM scanner can be removed at any time during the series of scans.

Each scan takes only a few seconds, and the dentist can start and stop your scan whenever needed. If Dr. Rafoth doesn't like the scan for whatever reason, the tooth can be re-scanned. All the scans are converted into an optical, 3-dimensional impression that is viewed on a computer monitor.

And all this without you gagging on a gooey impression!

Even while you're still in the chair, Dr. Rafoth can magnify and examine your digital model. This allows you to view in real-time what we are doing, while you're more informed and at ease.

We can make any necessary adjustments while you are here, before completing the process - thus eliminating the need for you to return for remakes or other work, saving you time and money. With the iTeroTM digital impression system, the result is an impression with unmatched precision and accuracy.
